2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor, The A/C light flashes. The book says its a compressor issue. Got a recharge kit thinking it maybe low on freon, only the pressure gauge reads 60/70psi when the A/C is not running but turn the car on and start the A/C and the pressure gauge goes to 0psi. I know it should be somewhere around 55psi. Any advice on what could be the problem? A/C system now blowing hot air, which is bad when its already 100 degrees out.

HOW DO YOU USE A.C.PRO ON A 2010 MITSUBISHI ENDEAVOR...

With the car running and the ac on high. Put the can fitting on to the low side of the ac line and open the can the Freon will be pulled into the sys and charge the unit. Most do it yourself kits will only fit on the low side of the ac. Hope this helps.

Why dose air blowing out dash hot when in cold a/c position

Hello, There are a number of reasons that may cause your A/C to blow hot air. The compressor belt could be loose or broken, the A/C system could be low on freon, the A/C compressor clutch could be defective or the fuse could be blown, or the A/C mixing door could be stuck open just to name a few.

How to troubleshoot a airconditioner

I'm not sure if you changing out the radiator is coincidental or if you disconnected something by accident but usually if you ac compressor doesn't engage it means your freon level is low. Go to pep boys and buy a freon recharge kit. Make sure the can says that it has "sealant" in it as freon should never be low since it's a closed system. If the freon is low, there's a leak somewhere. The sealant will usually remedy this. It will be anywhere from 15-35 dollars. Follow the instructions. It sounds intimidating but is actually quite rudimentary. I think that will solve your problem.

Air conditioning is blowing hot air

I would recommend that you check the fuse panel in your vehicle and make sure that the a/c fuse is good, then I would recommend that you raise the hood, turn your a/c on in the car, and then see if the compressor is cycling on and off. If the fuse is good, then there is a chance that your compressor is low on freon, so you should check this, and if it is low, then charging it should resolve the issue. The second problem is finding out where the leak is that caused the system to lose freon. To do this you will need to add dye to the system and see where it leaks. If the freon level is where it is supposed to be, then you may be looking at a faulty compressor, and will need to replace it, and with that you will need to recharge the system.

How do you recharge the AC in a 2004 Dodge Stratus? Is that usually the problem when it is nt blowing cold air?

Yes. You can get a recharge kit at your local parts store. You can get cans of freon with hose attached. You will need to start the car and turn the ac on full blast. If you follow the ac hoses you should find two caps that cover valves. 1 is high pressure, the other is low pressure. Take the cap off the low pressure (it is smaller). Test to see if the hose end will attach to the plug. If so, that is the one. MAKE sure that the compressor clutch is kicking in and out-you should be able to see and hear it. This is the front part of the compressor where the belt turns. If low on freon it will be doing it fairly fast. Shake the can real good before you start. Twist the "t" handle down to pierce the top of the freon can. Then back it out. Hold the can upside down and keep shaking ocassionally. The can should start getting cold in your hand-that slows the freon is going out. and the compressor should run for longer periods. You may need more that 1 can, maybe not. You may want to get the can that has oil charge and stop leak/leak detector in it as well.

Does the 2004 mitsubishi endeavor have an MP3

The 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor does not support MP3 playback or Ipod adapter. You would have to install an aftermarket stereo in the CD slot below the HVAC (A/C) controls.
