Get the mechanic to check the front CV boots for tears and get them to check the front CV joints. Explain the problem to the service manager. They should know how to properly check them. The shafts usually come as a rebuilt assembly with new joints on both ends, and are relatively easy to replace.

Hello. Have just bought a 2006 tucson, battery was disconnected but have tried to recode the radio using the code on the blue card provided but no go. It times out after 3 times for an hour. Is there any...

Hello Colin. You describe a radio which doesn't sound like any Hyundai Radio I've ever worked on. It seems to me the audio unit is 'after-market' and isn't supported by Hyundai Motor America or Hyundai Service Departments. Does it have a "Hyundai Emblem" on it? If it does, you can check with any Hyundai Service/Parts Department & have them check the serial no.

The best thing to do is to have the vehicle scope tested this way the tech can see whats causing the problem.

my Hyundai 'Tucson 2006 had a leak today when I came out from work. I don't know about cars but i'm curious enough to open the engine top to see what's going on. And I found a piece just lying there, It's the same as the top to check the oil, has a yellow plastic part says A/C oil. I couldn't find where it goes or what it is.

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson with about 61,000 miles on it. I'm hearing a distinct noise that sounds like a slide whistle everytime I turn the steering wheel in either direction.

Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

How do you remove the center console on a 2006 Hyundai Tucson?

Take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.). OR, Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

Sounds like bad CV (constant velocity) joints in the front half shafts.

They make the most noise at a full wheel cut.
