Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
I have no power to the cigarette lighter or radio in our Coachmen Catalina 301 walk thru bath mh. I think it has something to do with the fuse panel, but having looked through the owners manual and looked at the fuse panel it's self, I have discovered there is no indication as to which fuse belongs to what item on the dash of the vehicle. Is there anyone out there that can let me know which fuse goes to what item?
Answer was pretty good common sense should have told me use tester but price to pay for tester was good i'll skip dollar store thanks Will

You best bet is to purchase a test light from an auto parts place ($5-$20). You could make one if you had the parts.
Blade type fuses have two contacts on either side of the fuse, check both sides. If you don't have a testlight then you would have to manually pull each fuse to look and see if it's blown.
If you come across a fuse that DOSEN'T have power on ONE SIDE then thats the fuse thats blown.
If you come across a fuse that has nothing on either side then don't worry about that one because it's not being powered at the time.
From what you describe the fuse should have power even when the vehicle is in the off position. But to make sure, when using the test light, you can have the ignition on or start the vehicle.
Also check the cig lighter for coins, they fall in there often.
Also being an RV and almost all cars there's going to be more than one fuse box location. One being inside and one outside under the hood.
