On my 2000 cadillac seville sts the truck and gas door keep opening after car is shut off or still run and in park. this started happening after a hard rain and the sun roof leaked.

    I have done that ( disconnected the postive terminal ) and it did not work.

It sure is electrical problem. There's a control module for the locks, it sure is grounded that's why this issue occured. I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector, let it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation.

    Alright then, look underneath the dash of driver's side. You'll see a black box, have it replaced and it will surely resolve the issue.

Its possible that your need to replace the sensor if have long time using.

Open the trunk and locate the screw that hold the lense assembly, remove screws, turn the socket that holds the brake bulb which will releas the socket, pull out the bulb, and replace with new bulb, reinstall in reverse order.
