Sound like you're going to need a whole new clutch assembly, but if the fluid level was dry you may have sucked air into the system which means that the clutch will have to be bled at the slave cylinder, just like you would brakes. The squealing sound is coming from the throw out bearing, usually when the do that it means that the bearing is frozen and cannot spin. Either way it looks like you'll be dropping the transmission to work on the clutch.
You need to replace the clutch slave.....Ii recently did mine, after the installation it was stuck too.......the way I fix it was I had a friend pumping the clutch by hand while I bleed it under the car, it took about 15-20 minutes before it got hard again. Good luck!
Does not have a neutral safety switch , it has a clutch inhibit switch. It is located at the top of clutch pedal and is threaded into a bracket or is on the rod that goes from clutch peadl to master cylinder.
try to lube the throttle body and see if it moves if you can manualy move the throttle at the engine then check behind the peadle for any obstructions if nothing stopping the peadle then i think you can say its a safe bet that it's the cable
I advised against this for a kid just recently that was thinking about doing this for an Eclipse. There are so many vehicles of the type you're trying to change that it is MUCH better to just trade. You have to change out the tunnel components, some dash lights, perhaps getting a new cluster. You have to change out the linkages, shift selector to a gearshift which involves all the different bracketing. It never seems to end. Don't forget about having to change out the computer too. If it is sentimental value that is stopping you from trading, I won't be able to convince you - I know how important some things are to people - but life is so short that you won't really want to tackle something like this - it just isn't fun for most. And after you trade, two weeks after you do, you won't be thinking at all about your old friend anyway. After all, it IS just a vehicle. Good luck making this decision! ~p
YES IT IS. YOU NEED TO BLEED THE HYDRALIC SYSTEM DOWN AT THE SALVE CYLINDER THERE A BLEEDER VALVE YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE PUMP THE CLUTCH PADDLE ABOUT 10 TIMES ( MIGHT NEED TO PULL UP AND DOWN PADDLE WITH HAND AT 1st TILL IT START TO GET SOME PRESSURE ) HOLD PADDLE DOWN AND OPEN BLEEDER KEEP DOING TILL NO MORE AIR OR BUBBLES COME OUT.
these are hard to bleed. sometimes its better to open the bleeder from the slave and pump fluid through the bleeder back up to the master. if the peadl doenst feel like its pushing the clutch, there is still air in it. pump the pedal rapidly 20 times, let it set 1 minute, now pump it again 20 times let it set, now hold it too floor and open bleeder, when fluid stops coming out close bleeder and let pedal up slowly. if still spongy, do the whole procedure again. it may take a while.
