Bought a new battery and my 1992 buick lesabre still won't start

I had bought this car back in july of this year. Everything was good it ran fine everything was working. I let it run for 15 mins everyday to see if it works. After that i didn't have time to start for like a week. after that i tried starting the car and it didn't. We thought it was the battery so we change it and it was working again. but after a couple days later the car wouldn't start again and it looks like the brand new battery i bought is dead it won't start or any of the lights turn on. Help me out?

I have the same problem, bought a used 93 buick century last September, and haven't used it for two months. But I started it every few days, cause of the cold weather and also a new battery. It does not even start.

I had the same problem on my '92 Lesabre ltd. All you need to do it is get the rust off your battery cables, use the wire brush to scrub the contact surfaces. also use a wrench to tighten the bolt to the battery, take precaution as to not to tighten too much , it might beak the battery threads.

Crank sensor. Next time it shuts off pour or spray some water on it then see if it will crank. If it does replace it.

I just bought 2000 buick lesabre new battery woke up the next day it would not start.

could be that you left something on and battery drained itself.have you tryed boosting it off? thats where i would start. when you put the booster cables on,leave the car running that you're getting the boost from. let it run 10minutes and then try starting your car.when it starts let it run 15minutes before you shut it off or attempt to drive it.that will allow time for your battery charge up.after that you can shut it off if you choose to. when you do turn the car off, look for a light that might have been left on,or a tail light staying on,or a brake light thats staaying on.the best way to look for a light is in the dark.suggest that you try this, then if it won't start the next day,may have bought a bad battery.suggest that you have it checked if a no start again.good luck and thank you for choosing

I bought my 95 buick lesabre in Aug. 2005. The engine blew up 2 weeks later, and I replaced it with a rebuilt motor. The car ran fine for a couple of years though I've had other problems: a/c went out,...

Clean your battery terminals and connections using a wire brush to remove ALL of the corrosion. Once this is done, attatch the cables to your battery and tighten them down fairly tight, so that they do not move. You should not be able to move the battery terminals with your hands, when they are attatched to the battery. If you can move them and they are as tight as you think you can get them, them get new terminals from a local parts dealer... This is the most comman error that people seem to over look and they ALL think that they need a nrew battery and a new alternator, when all you really need is to insure that the terminals are clean and attatched tightly. I have actually bought cars for super cheap because the previous owner thought that they needed serious electrical work, and I just did what I described to you, and then resold the vehicle for thousands of dollars more than what I paid....

If this doesn't fix your issue, then let me know and I will be able to give you directions to repair the problem. Don't forget to rate the answer!

Everything turns on but engine won't turn over

could also be the battery even though the lights come on there may not be enough voltage to crank, just cause the lights work does'nt mean anything anymore.
