Your radio and accessories have a feature called delayed exit, the way it works is the options like radio will keep working as long as a door isn't opened, you either have a door switch that is always on or a delayed exit module problem, this is part of the main Body Control Module aka BCM. do the interior lights work?

My key is stuck in the ignition.

Your car has several different ignition positions. They each offer slightly different functionality.
Off: In this position, the engine is off, and so are your electronic accessories (unless the delay has not expired yet). You can still turn on lights (headlights, interior lights, etc.).
ACC: This is the accessory position. Turn the key to ACC if you want to listen to the radio, play a CD or use other accessories without cranking the engine.
On: In this position, all of the electronics should come on. This is also the position that the key will return to after cranking the engine.
Start: Turn the key to this position to crank the engine. Let go of the key when the engine is running and the key will return to the on position.

I use to own a car that had an ignition that was ACC - OFF - ON - START.

Try turning your ignition one position clockwise and see if the radio turns off and the key comes out.

Turn on ignition jeep starts ok sometimes spedo and idicators wont work unless you move key adain while running

There could be some play in the ign switch allowing the voltage to be lost in certain position. Turn key to run position, do start engine. Turn on blower fan, turn signal, radio . Wiggle the key to see if they go off with key movement. If so replace electrical switch behind the key and tumbler

After leaving my 2003 F 150 parked overnight I found the radio was playing this morning. Also with no key and the switch in the off position, the power windows worked. I stepped outside the truck and shut...

If the ignition switch will not turn off, one of the most common causes is the pin on the upper ignition actuator gets loose and fall out of position. This makes it so that the Ignition will turn on and the engine will start, but it will not turn off all the way. If this is the case, the steering column will have to be removed and completely disassembled to replace the upper actuator. I do not recommend trying to fix this yourself unless you have some very good mechanical skills and are willing to purchace some special-service tools.

Another possible (common) cause of your problem may be that the "wedge" in the ignition lock cylinder that is supposed to prevent the key from being removed while the ignition is on could be worn out or broken. If this is the case, you may have turned the key back too far into the accessory position and removed the key. (It SHOULD only come out in the OFF position) You can check to see if this is the case by turning the ignition switch on and see if the key comes out. If it does, then only the lock cylinder would need to be replaced to correct this condition (Not very hard at all).

Check to see if either of these scenarios fit your circumstances and get back to me.

Radio does not work if I push the power button it says. Off

Turn ignition key to number 1 position. Turn radio on, and wait for readout in radio display to say code. This could take several hours, so make sure the car is in a safe place. When code appears, key in correct code (if you don't have it, get it from a Volvo dealer, you will need the vin # and proof that you own the car).

Key won't turn in a 2002 chevy mailbu, how do you remove the key cylinder?

tap the end of the cylinder with the handle end of a screwdriver and then try turning the key. try this several times along with wiggling the key to get the lock cylinder to turn. If you can get it to turn your in good shape.

I would recommend disconnecting the battery because the key needs to be in the run position in order for the lock cylinder to be removed. This will keep the battery from going dead.

With the key in the run position remove the trim cover that goes over the radio and heater controls. Then remove the radio. You should then be able to see the button that holds the lock cylinder in place. The button will only press in with the key in the run or accessory position (one or the other I don't remember specifically off hand) this is why it is important to get the key to turn

Push in on the button with a small screwdriver and pull the lock cylinder out.

If you can't get the key to turn than your going to have to drill the center of the lock cylinder out until you can get it to turn. I would not recommend doing this unless you understand how it works or have previous experiences doing this as it can get ugly in a hurry.

Returned home and tried to turn of car and key wont turn to lock position so that it can be removed. the car is in park and i cant figure this out

Try pumping the brake pedal and then removing the key. Otherwise try to turn it on anf off several times while keeping the brake pedal depressed and try playing with the gear lever as well.
