The compression could be too low to create the bang it needs, I have seen it a lot, try the connecting wiring harness first it might just have a bad connection, but it does sound like low compression
not a lot of information to go on. it could be with all u have done not helping that the engine could be out of time. when it miss fires does it pop or backfire? if it does your problem most likely is with the timing.. also r u sure that the other coil packs r good? it might be worth it to have them checked first. hope this helps
sounds like you have a bad coil pack this will cause the motor to miss on 1 or more cylinders thus causing the backfire you are describing this is more than likely your problem, another thing it could also be is water in your gas this will also cause a backfire due to the engine trying to burn the water that is coming thru your fuel lines but more than likely it will be your coil pack hope this helps.
Try moving the coil pack from cylinder 1 to another cylinder (swap locations) and see if the same code comes up. If code is different, then coil pack is bad. Other reasons for miss; bad injector, poor compression. Also, I know you changed plugs already, but always use AC Delco 43-103 plugs on this vehicle.
You may have a bad coil pack. They are located on top of the spark plugs. If a coil pack is bad then if will miss as well as you could loose gas milage and performance.
The ignition coil pack (the black thing all the plug wires hook to) is probably cracked. Remove it and look for cracks on the bottom and sides. If it is cracked replace it.
you have to see if the coil pack fire up do you have spark coming out of the coil pack cylinder 2 never mind the other code the missing cylinder make the other sensor malfonction check if you have spark coming out of the coil pack if not change the coil pack if you have you spark check the compression let me know pierre please dont rate right away we work together to fix our problem because i whant you to get our car running good and i whant a fixya anything else is bad for me thanks pierre
