Question about 2003 Dodge Caravan
Hi. We have a 2003 Dodge Caravan & the driver's side power window stopped working. Took it to mechanic to troubleshoot & they said we need a new regulator & motor which would cost 400 dollars to replace. I have purchased the appropriate regulator & motor at a parts store and am attempting to replace it myself to save money. I have removed the door panel, vapor barrier & all the bolts attaching the regulator to the door, but now I am having trouble detaching the window from the regulator. It looks like the window is fastened to the window with 2 plastic clips. My question is there a tool or method to remove the glass from the regulator? I have tried pulling the glass, wiggling the glass out & prying off the plastic clips with a screwdriver, but these did not work. Appreciate any input. Thanks! James
You can buy the plastic clips from the dealer, break the old ones, there is no tool that I remember using, in fact I don't remember having any problem, are you sure the regulator is at fault? why not just replace the motor?

I'm having the same problem. The window is "stuck" in the closed posistion which makes it very difficult to figure out how to detatch the window from the regulator rail. If you say the new regulator's clips will go right onto the glass, how? Do they clip on or something?
