1998 Dodge Intrepid Drivers window just stopped working
My drivers window just stopped working one day. It had never given me any problems...one day it went down fine but would not go up. There wasn't even a motor sound or lagging. The first time that happened just the same way, a friend of mine just tapped on the outside of the door and it started working fine and did so for months, but now it did the same thing and tapping on the door didn't work. Can you please help me?

Check the wires going to the motor make sure they are secure if so check and make sure your ground is good take a multimeter and ground one lead on a good ground on the car and the ground for the motor and make sure there is little to no resistance (the black wire) than check and see if your getiing any power between any of the two wires you should get about 12 volts between any of the wires and a ground when you move the switch.
If you dont want to do all that try anether motor for exaple use the passenger side motor if it works on the drivers-side you need a new moter for your window

Hi Javier, glad to help! The body control module on your 1997 Intrepid is located under the dash on the drivers side mounted to the dash where it bolts to the kick panel. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Javier.
We're in the same boat buddy! Your window motors are going out.I know for my car the motors cost 25 bucks a piece for the cheap ones.Take the door cover off and the motor depending on how its situated in the intrepids should be in the middle. The screws are small and space might be limited but take your time and have some patience with it and they'll be fixed in no time. They can be a pain in the rear end! Hope this helped good luck.:)
It should be on the transmission by the passenger side of car. It has three wires connected to it. 1998 Dodge Intrepid
the crank sensor is on the passenger side of the car on the back of the engine. Check right up there by the transmission housing. 1994 Dodge Intrepid 3.3 liter
There are new window motors for sale, at a reasonable price, on ebay. I had to replace the one on my 1997 Concorde. The driver's side rear motor is identical, so you could swap them if you didn't care about the rear window going up and down.
Sometimes it's a bad regulator, sometimes they just stick in the run channel from a lack of use. Open the drivers door, turn the key on with the engine off and look at the dome light while pressing the window buttons. If the light dims slightly, the window motor is getting power. If it is just stuck, you can smack the center of the door panel with the side of your fist while pushing down on the button to jar it loose. Then lube the run channels and work the window a few times up and down. Sometimes you have to remove the door panel and smack the motor with a hammer to get it moving. The odds of all 3 regulators being bad at the same time is slim. Hope this helps.
the fuses when you open up the drivers side door towards the top there should be a panel that you can remove to find the fuses but it may also be a relay that has gone bad in the engine compartment fuses and relay bay or the switch for the windows has gone bad try the driver side switch if it doesnt work try the switchs for the individual windows on there doors.
