You could, theoretically, weld the centre differential closed so that it acts as a locked unit, however you'd still end up with drive train losses. Might be easier to swap back to your 3S-GE's box...

Does a 2004 caldina have a cam belt or is the cam belt driven?

well, you never said which engine,
we can not guess engines 99% of time. (and for sure outside uSA)
this is a USA site, so where are you?
open hood in uSA look up, see EPA sticker there, engine name is there, (sure is here)

here is the lineup
1.8 L 1ZZ-FE I4 (132hp)
2.0 L 1AZ-FSE I4 (152hp) 2.0 L 3S-GTE I4 Turbo (260hp)

google your engine, name see real names above.
googe them and i promise a zillion hits.

even a better question is "IS MY ENGINE Interference or NOT?"
always #1 , and for good cause, ASK.

all answers USA as this is a USA forum.

Engine number location

The FSM covers that page one, so I know you dont have the book
my favorite car btw.
so can help. which engine? learn first what is there exactly
my guess is it is a 3S-GTE
first google hit lands here. (amazing huh)

its below thermostat and if USA car, (you never stated this)
a tag

btw , did you know that countries dictate the rules for engine numbers. ours does, ours not only have serial number but a year
code that other countries dont have. (smog laws here)
so why not post your country. and WIN.
case in point, usa car with JDM block, bam, different.

Where is the location of the crank sensor on my Toyota Celica st202 2.0 16 v engine import model

short answer, there is NONE.

wow no year car stated. gen6 1993 to 1999?

what country, in USA, all car in 1996 , gained a crank sensor if not already there. this sensor was for making the OBD2 misfire monitor function correctly.

so, no country NO JOY? the 1millionth post with no country stated. and a very technical question, related to smog too.

if the scan tool does not show a DTC error for it, it\'s not bad.

so why look?

which engine: of the 3

2.0 L 3S-FE I4,

2.0 L 3S-GE I4,

2.0 L 3S-GTE I4 turbo,

ill pretend (dumb huh) its a 1999, 3S-FE engine, with USA market codes on the body tag.

a fast look at the 1993 has no such sensor , only the CMP cam sensor in the dizzy.

the 1996 car the 3S engine was dropped and 5A replaced

the ckp crank sensor on the 5A runs off the front of crank at front of engine, at the right side. of crank pulley

our looks like this.

if i look at our, 3S engine, 1993 there is no such sensor.

sorry , none. that year

so why not post the symptoms and not chase phantoms.

Loses power while driving

I suspect that your fuel system is faulty. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or if your fuel pump don't run at all, replace the "fuel pump relay". Sometimes your fuel pump will run, but be too weak to hold pressure, which will let your car idle somewhat, but be too weak to run the engine at speed or under load.

1988 Toyota Celica GT4 Computer box

There is no problem with your computer box, it says 3S-GT on it, thats the way toyota did them back then. same with the 3S-FE (says 3S-F on the comp. box) and 3S-GE (3S-G on comp. box.) i dont recommend removin the cat. you will get defected (or waht is equivelant to a defect where you are) due to smog and stuff like that. Turbo timer is wired to the igntion system, no problems there. and as for gauges: get a pro to install them, but there should be zero trouble.

Manual transmission

If the engine revs up when you let the clutch out and the car doesn't move then most likely your clutch is slipping and not bitting.
