What exactly are you trying to fix? I use the stock type 3-wire distributor in my 68 Mustang and use an MSD 6AL box with a Blaster II coil. What's your truck doing? Why are you going to replace the distributor? Need more info. in order to help you fix your problem. Shoot me an email tiqautoperformance@live.com. I'd be more than happy to help you through your problem. I an owner/operator of an auto repair/hot rod shop. I specialize in Fords.

Why won't it start what should i do

from what i am seeing alot of people that have your type of vehicle went with different cars because of all the things that are messing up on the 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante, i personally would not spend endless amts of money trying to fix something that is just gonna keep breaking down, but that is just my opinion.what i would suggest is that you need to decide for your self what you want to you, do you want to keep spending money that you dont really have to just spend money for a vehicle that wont break down every 10 min, think smart not hard,

With effort and time anything can be put in there. How much money you trying to spend? Most can find stock used engines for alot less than modification in these cars.

Yes it says msd now my question is can i just pull that out and replace with a stock distributer

yes i would remove it. they can be trouble and wont help a stock engine just cause problems. not real reliable for street use.

Sometimes it requires a manual reset by disconnecting the wire harnest from the back the stock stereo that is that best solution before spending any money find some instruction in how to take out the Stock stereo.. Member Stereo shops are always trying to sell things ok just take some steps before paying somebody else, i think anybody could read some Basic Instruction..
