If it jerks to one side or the other than have your brakes checked. they are grabbing on one side forst than the other.

Broken rear leaf spring, bad motor or transmission mount. Broken frame or brake proportionate valve.

Why does my 2000 ford ranger seem to stop and then move forward a few more feet before stopping

Can be transmission failing to unlock from Downshift or the Lockup Torque converter is failing to unlock.

Starting out I get a rubbing-grinding noise in the drive train for a short distance then a huge clunk and then things seem to be okay until I start out again the next time. I haven't a clue whats going on?

I'd check the universal joints, rear one most likely. When the vehicle has been sitting the bearings that are probably bad in the u-joint solidify. After you start driving they heat up and turn into a graphite like substance and is more pliable. Stop driving and it cools off. After it's warmed up jack up the rear (both tires off the ground, front tires chocked) put it in neutral, and spin the shaft, wiggle side to side to check for play. I would take caution in driving it because if it breaks you went from a 20 dollar part to towing and unknown extensive repairs.

Changed stock radio on a 99 f ranger and truck won't start

Might want to check your diagram again, make sure that the power is hooked up. As stupid as that seems, I've done this before. Every electrician has forgotten to hook the power up right, and some diagrams are nuts.

2001 Ford Ranger SRS brakeks and bearing problems

Your truck has sealed bearings in the front but they can go bad after several miles. If the truck is not stopping straight or you are getting a pulse through the break pedal (and sometimes a shimmy in the steering) then it's time to replace the rotors and pads. If the truck is stopping and driving fine then I wouldn't worry about it.

pull up the carpet... and get some heat on there, not alot, just enough to get them to break free, and when you get them to break free dont stop.
