How many pouns i need to put on 96 bmw 318 is head bolts

ok its a little diffrent for this vehicle you have a 3 step prossess for each bolt as listed below
first tourqe all bolts to 22 ft pounds then when they are all tourqued to that ft pounds
then turn each bolt an additonal 90 degrees then after you do that to all the bolts you must turn them all another 90 degree and that is how tight they should be i was a bmw mechanic for 3 years i am not sure why they do it this way but it is the proper setup

Replacing the cylinder head on a 2005 Hyundai Accent 1.6 dual overhead cam, need to know the Tourque Specifications for the cylinder head and intake manifold. thanks

Here's what the shop manual states:

30 Nm (300, 22 lb.ft)+90°+Release all bolts + 30 Nm(, 22 lb.ft)+90° In this instance you don't have a 'Torque to Spec"... you have a "torque to YIELD' In this specification, initially torque the head bolts to 22 lb ft... then turn each and additional 90°, then loosen each and REDO to the same specification = 22 lb.ft)+90° (you're actually crushing the head gasket TWICE and stretching the head bolts TWICE.

I want to know how many pounds to torque them on.for a 1992 F-150 Ford 5.0

I can tell you the ft/lbs but they should be done in sequence and unfortunatly I don't have a diagram for you. The first go around you torque the head bolts to 55-60 ft/lbs. On the second one you torque them down to 65-72 ft/lbs. The sequence if it helps is (95137) (106248). I do want to mention that you need to get new head bolts because the material they are made out of stretch. It wasn't much but i hope it helps and good luck.

4g67 head tourqe settings

Just to add to previous solution...

Assuming your head is straight & without defects, ensure you follow the correct tightening sequence diagram (see numbers) below:

Front of engine

i e
n 10 8 x
t h
a 4 6 a
k u
e 2 1 s
5 3
s s
i 7 9 i
d d
e e

1) Apply a small amount of engine oil to the thread section of the bolt and install so the chamfer of the washer faces upward.

2) In the proper tightening sequence (as shown above), torque bolts initially to 22 ft.lbs. (30Nm)

3) In the proper tightening sequence, now torque bolts to 45 ft.lbs. (61Nm)

4) In the proper tightening sequence, finally torque bolts to 68 ft.lbs. (92Nm)

Now you can Install the Camshaft sprocket and tighten it to 65 ft.lbs. (90Nm), while holding sprocket in place using the correct wrench.

Confirm proper timing mark alignment.
