Question about 2003 Dodge Caravan
Our a/c was leaking we changed the compressor where it was leaking but I think we need to change the lines too as it still leaking. Since we changed the compressor now these lights coming on and off. I tried unplugging the battery few times but it only work for few days. sometimes it goes off by itself and then few days later comming back. I took it to mechanic and he changed some thing from the airbag and cleaned the evaporator but the problem came back. Please help me.
Sounds like the HVAC control head needs to be recalibrated. The procedure is fairly easy, Heres how its done:
CALIBRATION/DIAGNOSTICS TEST ENTRY
TO INITIATE TESTS:
Set Blower motor ON HIGH
Set Mode position to Panel
Set Temperature to Cold (Both slide pots if equipped)
Depress WASH and REAR WIPER button simultaneously for 5 Seconds (Until all LED's light)
All LED's will turn on for 5 Seconds
Calibration Test is running when REAR WIPER and INTERMITTENT are alternately flashing. Cooldown test is running if A/C and RECIRC are alternately flashing.
Acceptable results is REAR WIPER LED is the only LED flashing. Push Rear Wiper to exit.
After all tests have passed, Calibration Diagnostics and Cooldown can be run separately.
After that the lights should go out and everything should work properly as long as everything is in proper working order.
