Where are these mounts located? One looks like is on the top of the engine on the passenger side, the other looks like it is underneath near the middle drivers side. Are they what I'm looking at?

Get a piece of wood just big enough to put on the oil pan and put just a little pressure with a floor jack to lift up the motor and take pressure off the mounts. Next loosen the bolts, but dont pull them out just yet, and adjust the floor jack to the point the bolts come out with a little or no effort.

How do i replace rear motor mount on toyota echo?

It is not that Hard, you can use the Jack from your Car... Lift up a little on the Oil Pan with the Jack, you will see the engine Mount move. Once you have that pressure on, then you just take the center bolt and then the mount bolts. Install the new Mount and lower the jack.

YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIFT THE CAR, JUST GET WEIGHT OFF THE MOUNT

I think my motor mounts my be broken how can i tell 1999 chevy cavalier

have someone power brake the car, wile you watch for the engine to rise up on its mounts make sure to power brake it in forward and reverse if the mounts are broken there will be a very noticeable lift in the engine. also check the top thrust mounts they look like a dog bone and mount right behind the radiator make sure the rubber bushings are in good shape and their is no movement back and fourth with the engine......HAVE FUN

Hello. Generally you can put in a different motor from the original but it requires more work, more knowledge and more effort. Shop around at other garages.
