Question about 1993 Dodge Intrepid

1993 intrepid gauges won't work

My speedometer, fuel, heat and rpm gauges won't work. also my automatic door locks and the lights that come on when you open the door won't work. my gauges used to flash on and off for like 2-3 seconds but now they don't work at all. my car will run but it runs funny. it seems like it shifts whenever it feels like it and it idles really low. does my car need some serious R&R or is it a simple fix

Check the ground cables and follow them all the way to the end on the battery, if they are loose or corroded this might be your easy fix

1991 Dodge Daytona Speedometer and Odometer not working.

I had the same problem with my 90 daytona. The tach and the speedometer would work intermitantly. I took the whole gauge cluster out, and heated all the soldering with a solder gun to reflow the connections. It seems that this is a common problem with the connections cracking. You may not be able to see the cracks in the solder.
