Hi U have two "screws" one next to the other , star key is for the oil dumping - next to it is a nut for hex key, inside is a tube that goes around 4" up, stick a injector into it and fill until oil will start coming back , I did it, proper level of fluid has improved shifting tremendously - be careful with ATF fluid, has to be a special type, I got ATF from the dealer , Kris,

You can drain the fluid but you need a special refill tool from a vw /audi garage these are only available from dealers so my advise is take to one of them the oil also has to check at certain temperature (35 degrees celcious) this all done by diagnostic equipment . i live in the uk and i was quoted £105 to change the oil in my a6 its worth having it done than trying to do it yourself

What type of atf fluid is required for Audi 3.0 A6 C7 multi CVT TDI?

cv transmission use a special transmission oil specifically designed for cv transmissions. any other type of atf oil will destroy the transmission quickly
contact your service dealer to get the correct oil or if you do not wish to pay audi price there will be other manufacturers that make the oil for audi, mitsubishi, honda etc all of whom use cv transmissions
there are to many people on forums who have used the wrong oil ( atf) in the cv transmissions only to have them fail completely inside 20000 klms

Specifications and technical data
VW TL 52180

Where is the dipstick in 2007

I cannot understand which dipstick you do want to know about. If you want to know about the auto transmission, it is Continuous Variable Transmission CVT. It does not have any dipstick on it. To check the CVT oil level do the following:
- Park the car on a level floor.
- Open the Allen head bolt from under the transmission oil pan with 6 mm Hex Allen key.
CAUTION: Always wear safety goggles. Keep your eyes away to avoid the oil getting in.
- If the oil is seen coming out of this hole the level is OK. If not, open a bolt (marked with TC) attached to the upper left side of the transmission with wrench, add original Toyota CVT Fluid TC with part number 08886-02105 printed on the tin.

TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE

I have a 2004 R2 - CVT fluid is to be changed every 40,000km. I've changed mine once already. Taking the drain plug out of the transmission pan drains 2-3L. New fluid is added to the CVT 'dipstick' tube, which is just behind the radiator with a black plastic head on the dipstick. A local CVT specialist sold me type NS-2 fluid, which has been working well for 12,000km. I also changed the filter on top of the transmission with a WIX 51365 which my autoparts shop found using the OEM filter part number. Hope this helps!

Hello, I have a question concerning my recently purchase 2001 Honda Civic CVT. When purchased we added 1 liter transmission oil, not knowing it needed special transmission oil for CVT's. Other people...

Just drain the oil. DO NOT FLUSH TRANSMISSIONS especially continuous varible transmissions. thats why they won't garantee there work. replace with specified MUGEN oil. its the only oil designed specificaly for HONDA's, pluse mugen is honda's performance company.
