Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel
I was cruising at 45mph in my 94 excel & it shut off suddenly. No sputter like if you ran out of fuel, It simply shut off. It would not restart but cranked over strong. Checked for a fuel problem, none found. Checked for spark, NO spark. Found a blown MPI fuse and replaced it. When I tried to start the car after replacing MPI fuse it tried to fire but the MPI fuse blew again! Can anyone give some suggestions on the possible cause. I can't move the car so I can't get a diagnostics done.
If you have towing insurance ( A lot of people do and don't know it-you can call your company) I'd have it towed off the road , which is the safe thing to do. Figuring out what is wrong could take a while.) You do need to get to a repair shop, unless you can work on it yourself. It could be the 02 sensor wires. Something to check.
FYI Towing insurance is only about $6-8 a YEAR which is totally cheap if you break down. I found this out after my first tow!
