2003 beetle converitble top/passanger window malfunction

I put up the top on my beetle about an hour ago and the windows all went up except from the passenger side. That was weird. I pulled the switch to make the window go up, didn't work. the door lock light flashes every time i press the window switch on the drivers side or passenger side for that window. now when i release the top to be put down or back up the switch doesn't move the top either. the other windows still roll down as if the top would too and the flaps in the back pop up...Its raining and i need to get my window up HELP!

Tried it today and none of the windows work from master switch on drivers side except ft passenger window, which went down but will not go back up.

You can't put up the front passenger window with it's own switch ? Did you check the POWER WINDOW RELAY in the instrument panel fuse / relay box ? An you checked POWER fuse 30amp same fuse box ? All window switches have direct power from power window relay !

Window on driver and passanger side dosn't go up or down level

You actually want to replace the window regulator, it's not too hard to do, you have to remove the door panel, loose the tensioner, and then remove the window as well as the regulator then replace the regulator. There are some good instructions on the internet if you search. It takes about an hour or so. I just did this a couple months ago.

Flickering headlights

This can be caused by a bad fuse, or a fuse with corroded or poor contacts, or a faulty headlight switch, or a problem with your wiring. Start with the fuse, then try turning the headlights on and off a few times to see if that helps. Otherwise, into the shop ...

Possibly a faulty driver door switch. There is a function tied to switch allowing driver to open or close all windows through door switch.

Power windows.

Everything runs thru the drivers side master switch, may be the switch but..
look inside the rubber boot between the door and the body(razor blade)The wires tend to break in there due to the drivers door being used more
than the rest.A wire connector or some fancy soldering work is the only fix without pulling the whole harness.

2004 Beetle Convertible, rear window is getting unglued

I had the same problem with the window in my 2003 beetle convertible. I purchased 3m windo-weld super fast A10E2A and single step glass primer A13B5A also 3m. I ordered it online from Auto Body Toolmart. It was very easy to do and is in there really tight. Unlatch the top just enought to release the tension.
1. clean the window and remover any old glue with a razor blade
2. use acetone to make sure the rim around the glass is clean
3. apply thr gass primer and let dry
4. apply the glue which is black so put on a thin bead and I used gloves so I could make sure it was on both the window and also the fabric of the top. You must work fast because it sets up in 15 minutes.
5. Then take blue masking tape and secure the glass by taping all around the top. up and down and from side to side.
6. allow to dry for 6 to 12 hours. the clean off any extra glue with a razor.
The total cost was $39 dollars instead of having to buy a new tp

2007 Beetle convertible, window doesn't drop

Possibly just a relay telling the window to lower slightly has gone bad. If it's only when the top is put up or down, you can either lower the windows yourself (most cost effective since it's not a major inconvenience), take it to a dealer if you are still under warranty, or check to see if there is a sensor or relay that has gone bad, causing this malfunction.
