Are you getting gas to your engine on start up? check the wiring and make sure there are no frays or excessive heat on any of your trucks wires. you may need to have your sensors checked as some cars will not start if specific (specific to every car) sensors are not working.

SOURCE: 1994 dodge dakota truck won't start
hoggharley@comcast.net fuel pump is located in the gas tank pop the hood to right of carb or left side look for a black cap that looks like a tire cap it will be on a metal pipe fuel pipe take it of have somebody try to start truck then push the little valve if gas comes out the pump is working if not fuel pump coil i think is mounted left side of motor as you look at it pull coil plug then take some rubber coated needle nose pliers hold near the coil look for blue ark remember this do not hold coil wire with bare hands or bare pliers it will shock you real good my buddy had just a bad coil wire so he got a whole wire set frm autozone they also have a web site autozone,com that will have trouble shooting for your truck let me no what happens

Have you chk. the starter switch on the steering colume under dash? Or is starter drive kicking in but not engaging teeth in flexplate? If its not engaging teeth on flexplate starter needs to be shimmed, or if its missing the teeth altogether on flexplate or bearly catching the teeth, top of starter nose wear it bolts up needs to be filed down to engage the teeth on flexplate.

Did you try to replace the starter cable? is the Truck turning over or just clicking.? If it's turning over and not starting. Best guess would be one of two things. Knock sensors Located under intake manifold. they get wet and deteriorate or the fuel pump. I've replaced all three on mine. 233k still running strong...

is there a way of testing a starter without removing it?
engine wont crank battery and starter good, my lights radio, and all my gauges work
