1994 Plymouth Sundance Logo

I have a 1994 plymouth sundance 2.5l. i now call it the sundevil because of what i had 2 do to it... i replaced tranny , radiator, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel relay, thermostat, coil ignition, oil change/treatment, fuses, spark plugs, oil filter, fuel injector. She drives like a champ but only for about 45 minutes and starts putt putting and dies when it idles. i am in las vegas where the weather is 80 degrees at 8 in the morning and i have no problems unless its an hour or more of straight driving. In the afternoon when its 110 degrees outside i get 20 - 30 minutes before it dies. Once dead it will start up by giving it a little gas but dies as soon as the gas peddle is released i have to let sit for 3 or more hours and she starts back up and ready to go again. any clue what i should replace next?

You can EXPECT to have to replace a few parts on a 17-year-old car...Doesn't make it a devil, just makes it a senior citizen in need of a little TLC...:)
The MOST LIKELY cause of your problem is the ignition pick-up coil. It is located under the distributor cap and looks like the picture below.

The sundevil strikes again!!!! does anyone know what size bolt holds up the tranny pan, a pscycho ex loosened the bolt which caused it to completely empty out the tranny fluid and i cant depend on any one but myself to make sure this is applied correctly. please help

The bolts for the transmission oil pan are M8 - 1.25 X 14mm

They are available at AutoZone in an 8-piece package or a 16-piece package
The part numbers are [45665] for the 8 piece package and [45661] for the 16 piece package.

P.S. It is best to post a new thread when you have additional problems with your car. This helps others find the solution if they have the same problem. Also, FixYa does not allow for posting links in a "comment". I could have posted a direct link to the AutoZone page for your bolts if this had been placed into a new thread.

If you want me to answer your questions in the future, You can post a direct question to me by using the new "beta" site. Just go tohttp://beta.fixya.com/ and log in with your current user name and password. Click on the link to brows the top experts and look for my profile picture. You will find it on the beta site listed as "Dave" instead of "dttech". Just add me to your "contacts list. Then when you post a new problem, I will get an email to inform me that you have posted a new problem.

Where is the fuel pump fuse on a 94 plymouth sundance

I would not think a fuse would be the problem. A fuse either blows or it is good. The relay might be at fault, but I would think it is the pump going bad.

Ireplaced the fuel regulator and fuel pump now i smell gas in the rear of the car and its coming in the cab area when i put gas in the car and drive its real strong and it appears the gas burn quickly even...

1 thing is to make sure you have the right size fuel pump for your engine. A ****** put a 2.2 pump on my 2.5 as soon as this was fixed the gas smell stopped. a new carburator also might do the trick....unfortunately i have had to replace almost every part on my sundevil good luck with yours
