My friend has a 97 Celica convertible with the same problem. My 99 has a leak where the roof meets the windshield on the drivers side, even after turning the tightener screws.I have found a tear in the rubber gasket built in to the roof that I believe is letting the water drip on my thigh.Only if it raining hard which it did alot this summer.

I would check the rubber gasket built in to the roof,it might have a tear that is allowing water to run in the car by the window.

Look for a plugged drain at both rear side panels. Water from the top can enter the car, but it is then discharged out thru drains. If the drains are clogged, you will have this problem. Same for any other Toyota convertible.

In my 2000 chevy Impala has a water leaks under dashboard onto passenger floor, only when it rains?

I had the same problem with a 1994 Taurus. Within the front fender was 10 years of pine needles and leaves blocking the drain backing the water up in and over the fire wall and into the front passenger seat floor.
I took a LONG pair of needle nose pliers threw the passenger side door, and was able to remove enough debree. After pulling out out about 5 fist full's of yuck, 1 gallon a water that was stuck some where poured out flushing out the drain. I did the same on the drivers side. After that I had no problems with floods. I hope this helps. If not check your back door weather stripping if you have one. I have heard water leaking behind the passengers seatbelt and onto the floor from under the seat. Got to love Florida's rain season(s)

I have a 98 grand cherokee & i am having water

My guess would be that you have a leaky heater core. If you don't think thats the problem, you could bypass the heater by unhooking the hoses where they go through the firewall and hooking them to each other. You'll need to put something in there that each hose will hook to. If that stops the moisture inside, replace the heater core.

When it rains water is collecting in the rear panel , its not draining on the passenger side. now it drains inside the car on the floor boards. suggestions?

Sounds like you have clogged weap holes, each panel has small drain holes in it and are easily clogged. Located the holes and use a piece of wire or somthing along those lines to clean the holes.

Water on back seat floor

It could be caused by blocked sunroof drains. Thats where I'd look first.

Water on floor behind front passenger seat

drill a hole through the floor as a quick fix ,if it gets in let it out ,then check for the leak ,try under the firewall where the AC drain pipe is ,it could be the same pipe for drain water coming in from air intake vents

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
