Question about 2003 Ford Expedition
The air suspension operates through the air lines, dryer, and compressor. You don't actually do anything to operate it. Once it goes out, which it will, try converting it to a coil systemfrom Strutmasters!!!! They're products are great :)

You don't necessarily operate it but you can turn in on and off. thats it. The expedition changes the height and stiffness by itself through a number of sensors on the vehicle. The on off switch is in the very back on the drivers side inside the removable panel.
