It may be one of 2 things....either you have a bad starter. or it could be that you have a major engine problem. To determine if it is a major engine problem. Put a ratchet and socket on the crankshaft pully bolt and try to turn the motor by hand. If you can not rotate it then it would be that your motor is seized up. But if it will turn it sounds like it is probably the starter.

Heater fan motor starting to squeel. Can this be lubricated or does this need replaced. If replacing is the answer is this an exspensive job? Thank you.

best to replace it. it very simple. if you don't know here it's located, have someone turn the key on [without cranking it] while listen for its location. simply remove the 4 or five screws. unplug the unit, lift it out and put in another. these things are fairly cheap at the salvage yard

Intermitent starter problem. Occasionally once ignition switch engaged grating sound noo start, then ignition swith rotated agin starter engaged - normal start. As explained intermitemt problem.

Beat on the starter with a hammer while someone tries to crank....if if cranks, you need a new starter selenoid. You can also bypass the selenoid by jump starting it with a screw drive to conduct much current between the two bolts on the starter selenoid. Be careful not to touch, unless your full of ****.

How to set the timming from crankshaft pulley

there is a keyway on the gear turn the key way straight up. Take the spark plug out of the # one cylinder, take a long screw driver and put it down the spark plug hole, you will need a helper. Then turn the crank gear while someone is holding the screw driver in the sparkplug hole when they feel the piston come to the top the crank should be in time. The way you tell if its at the top is when you spin the crank and the piston rises then it will start to lower after it comes to top dead center (TDC). Bring it back until it is back at the top.

2002 c3500 cranks but will not start

is it getting fuel and fire? you can check fire by removing a spark plug wire putting a phillips head screw driver in the end of the wire . then hold it about a 1/4" away from a metal ground source ,and have someone turn it over. DO NOT TOUCH THE METAL PART OF THE SCREW DRIVER OR SPARK PLUG WIRE WHILE TURNING OVER!!!!!!!

Cranks & cranks & will not start, changed fule filter

need to put a fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail to see if there is any fuel pressure. if there is then pull a plug wire off with someone cranking to see if there is spark, don't hold the end of the wire, it will shock the living tar out of you. and don't touch the car either when holding the wire. you will ground yourself. best of luck.

Car won't start. Need to locate Crank Sensor. Help!

the crank sensor in under the intake manifold on the back side of the engine. its a little tricky to get to- you almost have to be underneath the car, but it's a simple screw out- screw in procedure.

Need to bleed ssangyong muzzo 2.9 deisel

The fuel filter may have a bleed screw, undo the bleed screw slightly and crank the engine over until fuel spurts out ,if it does then retighten screw. If that doesn't work then the next Best way is to crack open the nuts on the injectors and get someone to crank the engine over , as fuel starts to come out of the joint retighten them up. This should get most of the air out, any remaining will quickly clear after the engine runs for a while.

1995Nissan 4x4 pickup VG30E 6 cylinder i have had to change the timing belt on it and have a manuel and have read and done everything that the book specified me to do and still CANNOT GET IT TO FIRE. It...

hello timing takes some experience from what your explaining sounds like your on the wrong compression stroke what you need to do is pull #1 spark plug while someone clicks not start put your thumb over until you feel compression push off then get a screw driver put into the cylinder you want to see were the pistons at you want it almost at the top now go to your timing mark at your crank pulley your pointer should be turned to tdc re align your camshaft marks reinstall belt turn motor by hand or click turn recheck lineup of marks if okay reinstall plug try to start goodluck
