Question about 1984 Chevrolet Camaro

2 Answers

I have a 78 Chevy pickup, 350. I just rebuilt it and can't get the radiator fluid to run through the radiator. Consequently, its overheating. The heater hoses are hot but no fluid is going through the radiator. I've tried replacing the thermostat, but the same problem persists.

Most people replace the water pump when they rebuild a motor. Are you sure you got all the air out of the system, well most of it. Thermostate in correct way?

Have you tried replacing the water pump? Sounds like the water pump is not circulating to water.
Hope this helps!

Check the thermostat, if it isn't opening when engine warms up, the coolant in the engine will overheat and make pressure in the cooling system but the fluid in the radiator will still be cold.

83 chevy pickup with 350 motor when accelaterating spark knocking real bad

Is the engine running hot or overheating? This could cause that to happen. If it's not running hot check your timing. If the timing is on time try advancing it 1 or 2 degrees. Somwtimes slack in the chain from wear will put it off time. Hope this helps.

your transmission has possibly been rebuilt with stronger springs put in. No worries. have been running mine for along while without any problems. Better this than slipping, but it is a bit annoying.
