I need to replace the battery in my 2000 dodge stratus and get the bumper and headlight replaced. Any repair estimates so I know I'm not getting charged too much?

A battery should cost around $50 for a good one bumper not painted $120 and each headlamp $160 figure in $120 in paint and supplies and reasonable labor or $250 depending where your at it could be as high as $900. and no other damage to mounting would cause the price to be higher. dont expect a perfosional body shop to cut corners they wont they have to fix it right.

Haynes or Chilton Repair Manuals ($20-$30) are available at most auto parts store. However these are general wiring diagrams. Go to alldatadiy.com for specific wiring diagrams from bumper-to-bumper and everything in between. Cost is ($20-$30) for full 12-months.

Replacing the front lights on a Nissan Almera.

I needed my headlight bulb changed. The repair shop quoted $125. Their repair manual said the front bumper had to be removed to access the light. But they found a work-around: by removing the battery, they were able to get at the light and replace the bulb. Only cost me $46 to replace my $5 bulb!

If by "temp goes up in 3 to 5 minutes" you mean that's it overheating, then you have a problem.

If the water pump DOES need replacing, then it'll be leaking out of the front indicating it's wore out. So yes, replace it. 140k miles is plenty out of a water pump.

Other than that, there can be a multitude of problems. So please describe any other symptoms.

If the water pump is leaking, just be sure to keep at least water in the system until it's repaired, and that'll at least help it keep from overheating. I'd buy a few gallons of water to keep.

Just make sure you DO NOT let your car stay outside if it drops below freezing and you only have water in it. You'll bust something important for sure.
