If there is no flange just in front of the cat then it has to be unbolted from the manifold, If this is not possible you will have to cut pipes and purchase sleeves to connect afterwards hope this helps.
Rattle noise could be the catalytic converter is broken up inside. If it is broken up inside and you are not getting a check engine light you don't have to replace it. Check exhaust system for broken or rusted pipes or hangers.
If you do replace the CAT do not use an after market replacement. They work for a month than you will get a check engine light. Been there done that. Use OEM part.
Loss of power, check On board computer for Trouble codes. Could be fuel pump, fuel injectors, exhaust system, ignition system.
