My 1995 nissan pickup is ticking and smoking from exhaust. Seems that oil is coming out of exhaust. 4cyl. 5-speed. 160k

If its burning oil then you could have a pcv valve problem(plugged) and changing it could fix it.the other things are bad rings,bad valve guides or valve seals.it could also be a cracked head or a bad head gasket leak by the oil drain passages and combustion chamber drawing in oil and burning.the ticking noise is either to thin of oil(dirty) by not changing it frequently low oil level or worn engine components that will need repair.
