Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada
Fuel gauge quit working?
The top half of the gauges on my dash work only a small part of the time. Is there possibly an electrical problem or a fuse that needs replaced. This happens to coincide with my key getting stuck in the ignition. If the gauges are on then the key will be released. Once again, electrical or fuse and can this be a cheap/easy fix?????

If all the other gauges are working, then it is definately the sending unit. Mine is out at the moment and has been all summer. Pain in the **** to fix so haven't yet. Have to know however cause the fuel pump went out. Gonna kill 2 birds with 1 stone. We have just been using the digital reader for fuel used to know how much gas is in it. The gas gauge will bounce between half and full but never go below half.

SOURCE: bravada fuel gauge
They usually dont have thier own fuse...(they share with other components) if everything else is working its the fuel gauge sending unit that is faulty. unfortunately you have to remove fuel tank to get to that
