Question about 2006 Honda Odyssey

Back seat stuck in the colapsed position

My back seat for my 06 honda odyssey is stuck in the colapsed position. It will fold down into the floor, but when you take it out and lock it in place, the back of the seat won't come back up. I unzipped the back of the seat cover and it appears that a cable is either broken or has come undone. I need some kind of diagram that shows how to take the seat apart and put the cable back together. Any help would be great.

2006 Honda Odyssey 3rd seat will not release to fold down

Look under the seat and have someone to pull up the handle and follow the control bar it may have become disconnected....When that person is pulling up on the handle look at the gear box that its hooked into it could also be jammed...you may need to gently with force push back on the seat to move it...while pulling the handle...

The larger portion of the third row folding seat is locked in the folded position. I can move the seat flush to the back, but when I go to set it back up to use, the back will not pull up. I have pulled...

The cable in the seat probably broke at the plastic holder at the end you will have to go to a dealer because no independent shop will touch this.

2006 Ford Explorer: Back seat won't fold flat to create flat cargo area. It folds down but not flush.

Okay so im just going to start from the seat being upright in a normal riding position.

1. You need to fold the head rests first. Pull the black tab under both headrests. They should spring into a folded position.

2. pull the side seat lever (on the door side of the seat). This will fold the top/back support down to an angle.

3. There is one more lever on the backside of this seat. Its in plain sight on the angled portion of your seat. Lift the big plastic lever.

4. While keeping the handle lifted, grasp the back of the seat and pull it torwards the front of the car. The seat should come unlocked and roll forward and down more towards the floor. If you have a bunch of junk on the floor, it obviously wont work. clear the path and the seat will fold completely flat.

Also, your drivers seat and front passenger seat cannot be all the way back, they need to come forward some in order for the second row seats' head rests to clear and fold flat.

Rear seat is stuck in the down position in my 2004 honda odyssey

after spending an hour or so, with your hands, arms, fingers and lower back aching....you will kick yourself if the solution is just THIS easy. Trust me, we speak from experience!!

Many times, the rear seat in the van is folded and down in the well compartment, and for the life of you, it wont come up. The problem, you may think is because, like us, you were a dope and let the strap fall to the bottom and you can't leverage it up. or maybe you spent an hour online praying and searching for a solution; only to find NOTHING! ha. well, we thought about setting up a fee for this, but, na, we thought it would be nicer to just list the easy solution for FREE!

ok, here it is....many times what you think is folded and down....is NOT REALLY fully down. if it didnt CLICK down, it aint down. which means its "ALMOST" down. so dont beat yourself pulling UP on it if its not YET DOWN!
solution: climb in and onto the 'down' third seat, and jump on the mother F*&^^R, and you will hear a soft 'click'.
NOW its "DOWN".
all you have to do is simply, effortlessly (strap or NO strap) lift that damn third seat up.

Yes, its that easy.
AND....it may just save your MARRIAGE!

shucks maam, thanks is all i need! :)

Middle row back seats...how can I remove or collapse them, I know back seats fold completely to floor, but what about middle row?

first fold them flat then pull the handle which will release the rear bottom brackets and allow you to pull back and lift the entire seat out of the van....both seats.

'07 Chevy Tahoe 3rd Row seat will not fold down

I have had this problem, and I am having it again. The problem is if a little trash gets under the bar in the floor, it will keep the mechanism from locking completely. I had tried everything. The only solution so far is the rock back and forth. Real pain. I am trying to find a secret release.

Rear seat stuck in collapsed position

I'm not sure about every other one, but the 2001 Odyssey has a "switch" in the seat so that it can only move one way. If you don't get the seat fully collapsed, it won't let you pull it out. Mine got stuck because I had jumper cables in the "well" and so it wasn't getting all the way collapsed. I "fixed" it by kneeling on the back of the seat and sorta' jumping a little. There was a little click and then the seat released.
