Question about 1994 Chevrolet C1500
Could be a simple wire brken off in the rear of the unit, just above the rear bumper.

Check fuse, replace bulbs. If already done, it's the reverse light sensor at the transmission. When the trans is shifted to R, the gear engages a solenoid that receives a 12V current and lit the lights. Worn or broken, you should be able to locate and replace it with ease. Check for the part at any auto parts store or at a dealership.
