Window regulator we have a replacement part for our blazers driverside window regulator/motor and we cant get the window out of the rubber strip (1996 blazer) we dont want to break it, help asap

Caution: Do not attempt to service the regulator motor withoutreleasing the counterbalance spring tension. The regulator lift arm isunder tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause personalinjury if the motor is removed from the regulator.
Remove the window regulator.
Drill a hole through the window regulator and the sector gear.
Install a bolt and a nut through the hole in order to lock the sector gear in position.
Drill out the rivets that secure the power window motor to the window regulator.
Remove the power window motor from the window regulator.
Installation Procedure
Install the power window motor to the window regulator.
Important:Remove the nut and the bolt that were used in order to secure the sector gear in position.
Install the rivets in order to secure the power window motor to the window regulator.
The window power unit has a connection that it rubber type material in it to help bypass it is stripped out at that point They used to be replacement for that without having to buy the whole unit but that part or the unit will need replacing
At this point a 12v test lamp probe is very handy.Remove inner door trim panel and gain access of the window regulator and motor. Probe for a 12v signal at the motor 2 pole connector while depressing the switch .If voltage is present it is a failed motor which can be replaced separatley from the regulator.good luck
If you can hear the motor turning but window is not moving, then the window most likely came off it's track. You will have to remove screws and pry off the door panel and replace window on track
You will have to drill out the rivets that hold the regulator to the inside of the door panel. then carefully slide the control arms out of the tracks on the window. You should be able to then position the motor where you can see the electrical connection. It should just plug in. You may have to take the glass out in order to have room to get the regulator out of the door.
The express module is built into the window switch on most s-10 blazer's. You should check for power at connector of window motor. The best way to test for proper voltage/signal is to find an old turn signal lamp socket and jumper both wires across motor connector, operate switch in both direction's and if the lamp light's for both up and down function's then most likely the motor/regulator assembly must be replaced.
you may want to check fuel pressure possibly fuel pump try banging on the gas tank with a mallet while someone tries to start the car if it is a fuel pump you may be able to get it started but pump will still need to be replaced
