My fob key has stopped working, I believe its a battery inside the key or it might need reset however I do not know how to reset the fob. Can you please help me. I have a 2003 Volkswagon Passat

The key fobs stop working because the solder joints that hold the battery in place break free. Very easy to fix with a little solder and a soldering iron. I just fixed a bunch of them for people I know including BOTH of the fobs for our 2006 GP GT. Takes about 5 minutes each.
