Its location is in the owners manual. on my 2001 XL-7 the fuse box was to the left of the driver's left knee, attached to the inner wall. the radio fuse blew regularly until i replaced the lighter.

Did you actually check the radio plug for power, or does the display just not illuminate? I ask because this radio has a little bulb inside that burns out that illuminates the clock, and radio station. You can confirm this by trying to use the radio normally, and trying to 'seek' a station. If you can get it to tune in, it is definitely the bulb. Another way is to shine a nice bright flashlight into the clock face. You should be able to see the stations and clock, that at least will tell you that the radio is working. - Hope this helps =)
Fuse box on a FORD is always under the steering wheel, drivers side of car....There is one more fuse, a 5 amp, in the engine compartment and is in a black box covered fuse area.
Check these two fuses. Fuse number 31 in fuse box location 4, if cigarette lighter, radio and clock. Else fuse number 5 in fuse box location 2, if only radio and clock and not cigarette lighter.
Most likely a fuse. If your fuse box is labeled it will say radio under the fuse. If its not check your owners manual for location of fuse box and radio fuse.
In the fuse box under the dash, look at the inside cover of the fuse box, there is a diagram, it should say RADIO or CLOCK, or the first letters of both.
Under the hood near the left front strut tower there's a fuse box. In the fuse box there is a blown 15amp fuse. The fuse will be blue in color. Replace the fuse and the radio, clock and dome light will come back on.
The 15 amp dome fuse is in the fuse box under the hood and the 15 amp CIG fuse is in the lower finish panel up under the dash on the drivers side. These are needed for the radio. The above fuses and also the 15 amp Gauge fuse in the box with the dome fuse under the hood are needed for the clock. So...since both are dead it is likely to be 1 of the first 2 fuses mentioned.
The 15 amp dome fuse is in the fuse box under the hood and the 15 amp CIG fuse is in the lower finish panel up under the dash on the drivers side. These are needed for the radio. The above fuses plus the 15 amp Gauge fuse in the box with the dome fuse under the hood are needed for the clock.
