Lifter torque specs? 1994 5.2l grand cherokee 4x4. need to know how tight to torque them.

If you mean rocker arm bridges, I don't remember ever seeing a published number for those.
Generally I run them down to around 30 foot lbs.

I think you mean the rocker arms. 21 Ft/Lbs. If your talking about the "yoke retainers" then they get torqued to 200 INCH lbs.

No problem just want to know the torque specs for the valve cover bolts on a 1977 ford f250 4x4 pk. I'm changining out the gaskets and dose not she to torque specs in my manuel.

Hi,
Rocker arm cover bolts are usually torqued between 6-9 ft/lbs, or 88-105 inch lbs. A good wrist tight using a 1/4" drive socket is how I do them and have had great success like that. Always put all bolts in finger tight, then start in the middle of cover top then go to the bottom middle across working your way outward in and up down criss cross pattern. Go around the bolts twice. Most common for people to overtighten them and then the cover will leak again. They do not need to be extremely tight, just a good snug / wrist tight......Mike

I've replaced many ball joints, and never used a torque wrench. Just make them tight. If yours are the type with cotter pins, then you make it tight and slip in the cotter pin.

Torque specs

Hi my name is Allen!

I work for a Dodge Dealership. There are no torque specs for the upper or the lower ball joints on any of the Chrysler Vehicles. As long as you get them as tight as you can they will be fine, don't worry they are held in by road force anyway. Note: Be careful that you don't strip-out the nuts by getting them to tight.
