Question about 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
My husband gave my car an oil change and said he couldn't find a reset button, so I went online. I read that if I turn the key (not starting the engine yet) and step on the gas pedal to the floor three times that should reset it. It didn't work. Does anyone know how to keep the light off until the next oil change? Thanks, Bree :)
Are 2 procedure to Reset the oil life.
1-- Using the accelator pedal.
Turn ignition ON with engine OFF
Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
The oil change light will flash a few times and them go OFF.
If the light is still on repeat the procedure.
2-- This procedure need the RADIO, if you have an aftermarket

Press and hold the Tune disp, button for 5 seconds or until
Settings is displayed,

You are almost there, but you stomp the gas pedal five (5) times and you will get a short series of beeps letting you know it was reset. Be sure the radio is off as well before doing this.
