Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel
Hi i recently changed the cigarete lighter in a 95 hyundai excell and realised that the light bulb had blown. Rather than replacing the bulb i just removed it from the circuit , and now i have no dash lights, it doesnt make sense to me have i blown the bulb in the dash or do i have to include the small 12v 1.2w globe for the cigarete lighter, i take it they are on the same circuit,.... .
They are on the same circuit but they are wired in parallel not series so having a missing bulb will not effect the circuit..
you need to test for power.. the switch sends power to th fuse and for the dash lamps goes through the dimmer switch if there is one fitted, then to the instrument cluster circuit board..
