Question about 1996 Volvo 850
When I start the car the RPM's go as high as 3,000 for a second or two then drop down to between 900 - 1000. What is causing the motor to rev up so high before flattening out.
Possible vacuum leak on one of the hoses, use a can of carb cleaner and spray the hoses and around the intake to locate a possible leak, the engine will rev up if you hit one.
