Don't need a diagram.
Start by checking to see that ur cable hasn't come off the throttle body or that the clip in the floor behind the gas pedal is still there.
If it's broken, remove the clip on the floor and remove from the throttle body. Disconnect the cable from the pedal and pull it out from the inside of the car.

Jacking up the drivetrain to install engine mount may have damaged clutch linkage. Check it for clutch operation. Also look for loose bolts holding trans to engine.

My 89 vw cabriolet automatic wont go into gear after towing it replacing filters and shifter cable

My first thought is bent shifter forks or linkage is off. Start with the linkage as it is easier. Shifter forks are internal tranny components.

I need an accelerator linkage diagram from gas pedal to carbeurator on a 289 eng. for a 1967 ford ranchero

These were usually just a bell crank mounted on the fire wall with an adjustable linkage, the top connection on the beelcrank to the carb, the lower one to the gas pedal through the firewall.

I have a 1990 VW Cabriolet that ran out of gas, put 5 gallons (gas) in it and now it wont start, turns over but wont fire

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You probably need to prime the engine. You need to put a little gas into the intake and then try starting it. Check to see if you have a fuel reset button. It may be located in the glove box. If you prime the gas, it should start. You might have to do this a few times before it will catch. If it doesn't, there might be a chance that you have another issue. Make sure you can hear your fuel pump kicking on when you first turn the key. Do this first. Turn the key on for 10 seconds and turn it off for 10 seconds. Do this 5 times and then try to start it. Repeat the process if you have to. This will prime the fuel pump.

Flashing coolant light when gas pedal engaged and out when idling. gauge shows 1/2. Added antifreeze. 1990 VW cabriolet. Other times it flickers.

You need to have this pressure tested to find a leak or diagnose a bad water pump or thermostat. Could also be a bad sensor or wiring harness.

Ignition system sounds probable on vhicle when everything gets warmed up. High pitched hum could be bad tire or worse bearing.
