It has a tappin sound when idling but when it hits a thousand rpm it stops
i can feel it in the steering wheel an the brake pedal when its cold its quite
asnit warms up it starts up again i was thinking timing chain slack adjuster
or maybe oil pump like for your input of what u think it could be

you don't say where the noise is. that is important to give a clue where the issue is. when stopping on the brakes 3 things happen. you press the pedal and the abs pump starts pumping fluid. the second is the brake capilers start pushing on the rotors to slow the car. the rotors are attached to the wheels and that stops the car. so if the rotors are warped you will feel a vibration in the steering wheel when stepping on the brakes. if its your foot feeling the pump working that is normal for abs pumping. you should feel it and holding the pedal will keep it working and stop you from skidding if everything is working correctly
Probably the wrong place to be asking this question. If you don't have knowledge of the workings of any vehicle, then you need to find repair shop. If you have friend that works in repair shop, ask him. It sounds to me that you have lose fitting or knuckle where the rod attaches to gear box. It definitely needs to be check as soon as possible before you lose your steering.
if you feel the pulsation in brake pedal when stopping. its a warped brake rotor thats causing it. for bad cv joint symtoms--- Unusual noises when making turns. check the motor mounts. It is possible that you are hearing the engine hit the firewall. You need yourself and one other person to perform a test. With the hood open start the engine. Put the emergency brake on and have one person stand on either side of the engine. The other person in the driver seat hold the brake pedal down hard with your left foot, put the car in gear (drive, then reverse) and rev the motor a few times. The person out side the car should look for the engine moving when the engine rpm increase.
I had the same problem with my 2002 Mountaineer at about forty thousand miles. Murcury replaced the steering column free under warranty. I now have ninty two thousand miles and it's back. The rear end is making a whining noise, the tranny is starting to slip, and the rear window regulator went out. Why did we buy a Mercury?????? Disgusted Dave!!!
When replacing track bar you should make sure steering wheel is where it needs to be if not it will not be straight, only solution is to re-do and align steering wheel, this is the only solution that I know of.
