Question about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
I have a 2005 LE 4.0L V6, and the check engine light came on last night with only 37.5K on it. Ihave heard a weird whoorling sound when I accelerate from stop and through 3rd gear. Is this the symptom of a timing chain, or something more severe?
I am going to take a guess and say, that you check engine light is a EVAP leak and you will need new VENT CONTROL VALVE and a WATER SEPARATOR KIT, but that's just a guess. prettycommon problem on your vehicle. As far as the whoorling sound goes, those have upper timing chain problems. You are going to hear more of a whinning noise at about 2000 rpm's. Those chains are waranteed 5years or 60000 miles.
