Question about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Check engine light

I have a 2005 LE 4.0L V6, and the check engine light came on last night with only 37.5K on it. Ihave heard a weird whoorling sound when I accelerate from stop and through 3rd gear. Is this the symptom of a timing chain, or something more severe?

I am going to take a guess and say, that you check engine light is a EVAP leak and you will need new VENT CONTROL VALVE and a WATER SEPARATOR KIT, but that's just a guess. prettycommon problem on your vehicle. As far as the whoorling sound goes, those have upper timing chain problems. You are going to hear more of a whinning noise at about 2000 rpm's. Those chains are waranteed 5years or 60000 miles. Flashing engine light on ford freestar, engine is running very rough at higher rpm

A flashing engine light usually indicates a misfire or several misfires. If the ignition components (coils, wires, distributors...) some how become exposed to moisture it is possible to get a rough running engine due to misfire(s) cause by arcking.

I have a 2005 grand prix v6 not super charged. the check gas cap came on a week ago and i replaced it and it still shows up. Last night while accelerating the car would not go then its jumped and start...

your gas cap light told you of a seal leak at the fuel tank. check all other line connections to the fuel tank the make sure they are tight. could also be a fuel pump losing pressure

I drive a 1991 toyota v6 camry le and i can find out why it doesnt have any power (slow acceleration speeds) the RPMs go up to about 5k and still cant feel the acceleration in it.

1. If you have the check engine light on then the emission control could be doing this because of bad oxygen sensor(s).

2. Check the transmission fluid. If the level is low then the transfer case would not transfer all the power from the engine to the transmission.

Check engine light illuminated, cruise light flashing; lack of power and "moaning" sound when engaging accelerator

is probably your o2 sensor. measures amount of fuel to oxygen ratio.causing lack of power. depending on v6 or 4 depends on wether you have 2 sensors or not hope this helps, ones by the header pipe and other just behind your catalytic converter on exhaust.

Engine service light came on last night and this morning no power to accelerate.

you might have bad plugs and wires causing you to go down a cylinder or two thus no power to accelerate. Start there
