Mercedes clk200 only fireing on two cylinders

Need help with this! i havin bought new spark plugs yet but il be gettin them tomorrow!!

il tell the story first!!

I left the car 4 to a panel beater to get a few scrathes done and get a lip spoiler put on!! it was running perfect before it was left down.( before you say any thing i checked milage when i got there so id know if it was moved and it wasnt) it was left there not moved for about 3 and a half months!! when they started it to do a few bits on it, it ran fine but when they started it the next time it was missin!!

so yesterday evening i took out the spark plugs and just cleaned them and put them back in but still missfireing!!! i thought even if i cleaned them it wouldn missfire for a little bit and id know that was the problem!! then i disconnected the battery for over 5 mins and when i started the engine it wouldn rev up and would let small little noises as if i put the leads the wrong way around!!

it does say service due on the clock but it didn say that when i left it down there and it hasn even done any driven!!

i am goina change plugs but could it be any thing else???

car has only 84000kilometers (last service was 51k)
( plugs thats in it have mercedes stamp so maybe there in it from new)

thanks

There are several things it could be and not necessarily to do with the plugs.

1. did you reconnect the ht leads in the correct order? They must be in the correct firing order.

2. have you tested the HT leads for electrical continuity? The carbon powder type can breakdown easily.

3. Are the HT lead connectors ok? Make sure you have continuity.

hi there it sounds to me like the crank shaft positioning sensor is bad because you say when you disconnected the battery and reconnected it it wouldnt even rev up thats a tell tell sign for the sensor because when you disconnected the battery you erased the memory that the computer used to control the timing

If there is popping upon deceleration, your fuel mixture is too rich. Readout all stored codes from the ECU, and correct the conditions causing the indicated sensor warnings. (It is possible that the vehicle simply needs a tune-up.)
If the vehicle is backfiring on acceleration, you DEFINITELY need to replace all spark plugs, spark plug wires, and possibly even coil packs.

This is a 23 Ford T Bucket with a chevy 350 in it-i bought a new rotor, new coil, new spark plugs, new distributor cap, ignition control module, new spark plug wires,i tried to start it and it acts like i

If your gettin spark and its timed up right, next, check and make sure your getting fuel/air, and if that's alright check for compression. Three basic troubleshooting techniques. You need spark, fuel, and compression. All of this needs to work in unison as well.

Not running rough slight miss at idle

check plug gap .try a little hotter fire plug. sometimes the seals around the valve cover will let oil in around the spark plug causing it to misfire. as the 4 cyl engine has a coil pack and you cant see it till you remove it.

I bought a 92 geo tracker 4x4 thinkin it should get good gas mileage but i only gettin 12mpg but it runs pretty good "Why it not gettin better? "!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's in 4 wheel drive that would definitely decrease the gas mileage. Otherwise it could be a lot of things. It may need a tune up. Could be an EGR valve issue. Throttle body could need to be cleaned a long with the fuel injectors. Make sure your tire pressure is what it should be as well.
Thanks,

I have a miss in my 98 ford f150 the trouble code shows up as misfire #4 and sometimes #5 cylinder what causes this

If it is a 4.2L or a 4.6L , it most likely needs spark plugs and spark plug wires. Please only use Ford spark plugs or it will not fun good after. After market spark plugs do not work too well in a Ford. After market spark plug wires can be used ok. If it is a 5.4L it has Coil On Plug which means each cylinder has its own Coil. If thats the case you may need 2 coils as well as plugs. Hope this helps. Cobra.. :-)

1991 4.3L GMC Jimmy S-15 will not start. Turns over, but does not start. Replace spark plugs and wires, ignition coil, module checked good. The plugs are gettin fire but not sending it to the motor?

You need 3 things.
Compression
Good hot blue spark to all plugs.
Good gasoline and proper fuel pressure. 13-13.5 lbs on your TBI
If you have all 3 then move on to injector pulse to both injectors.

Keep me posted and recheck your spark plug wire to make sure they are not crossed. firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6 cylinder # passenger side 1-3-5 front to back. cylinder # drivers side 2-4-6 front to back
distributor #1 is located at the 7 o"clock and rotates clock wise so next distributor post on the right working clock wise is #2. Good luck and hope this helps.

Change sparks plugs on 06 hyundai sonata v6

You didn't specify whether you have the (4) cylinder or the (6) cylinder engine..... I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L 4 cylinder and I just changed the spark plugs in it. I believe that the 2005 2.4L engine is the same. To locate and change the (4) spark plugs on a 2004 Hyundai 2.4L 4 cylinder engine: Remove the (4) 12mm bolts from the decorative plastic engine cover. Remove plastic cover from engine and place it off to the side out of your way. Standing in front of the car, the (4) spark plugs are located laterally (left to right) in the recessed area underneath where the plastic engine cover was removed. Note: This engine has (2) coils....They are located above spark plugs number (2) and (3) from left to right. Starting with the fist spark plug on the left: Remove the spark plug cable by pulling straight up on the insulated connector. Using a spark plug socket, remove the old spark plug and install a new one in it's place. To access the second spark plug from the left, remove the electrical connector and the spark plug cable wire from coil number (1) and then remove the (2) 12mm bolts that secure the coil to the engine. Spark plug number (2) is located directly under the coil. Lift the coil straight up removing the insulated connector from spark plug number (2). Using a spark plug socket, remove old spark and install a new one in it's place. Repeat same procedures for spark plugs number (3) and (4). Note: If you have the (6) cylinder engine, the front (3) sparks pluge are readilly accessible but in order to access the (3) rear spark plugs, you will have to remove the intake manifold
