I generally take the right front wheel off and go through the wheel well you have an easier access to the plugs and you don't have to use so many extensions and universal adapters.......please rate this

How do i figure out which cylinder is cylinder 6 on my Chrysler 300 m year 2000. The location is in the engine dealing with the spark plugs.

no 6 is the last in an inline engine and last in the left bank facing the engine in a v 6
or second from the front in the left bank facing the engine for v 8
probably has the number cast into the inlet manifold as well

89 ford 300 efi engine very bad fuel mileage, how to improve?

Is it an inline 6 cylinder? I would suggest you start with the cheapest and easiest. Change your airfilter, your fuel filter, your spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I am certain it could stand a good flushing of the motor. (You can buy any motor flush at any Walmart or autoparts store). You can just do a few of those things at a time and see how much better it does. I replaced everything I just listed on a car that had not even had an oil change in over 5 years. It ran like a new car after that. You may also want to change out the PCV valve, IF your car is equipped with it. (It's an easy fix. Shouldn't take more than 30 seconds after you find it.)

How do I change spark plugs

The easiest way is to remove the wiper module, remove the upper front engine mount struts and use a ratcheting tie-down strap to pull with and rotate the engine forward so you have room to reach over the top of the engine.
You are now gaining an understanding of why a professional shop wants about 2-1/2 hours of labor time to screw in 6 little spark plugs. Most people do no have a clue...they just fuss about the price! After all...ANYBODY can unscrew a spark plug!!! :-)

How long should it take a GM service technician to change the spark plugs in aq 2003 GMC Envoy inline 6 cyl?

For a trained technician this job should take from 1 to 1 - 1/2 hours. Some of the plugs are difficult to get to.

WHAT IS THE spark plug firing order on a 1996 GMC sonoma pickup truck

For an Inline 4 like I'm assuming, 1-3-4-2. If you have a V6, I believe it is the "Kindergarten Pattern", 1-2-3-4-5-6.

I have a missfire on #7 cylinder of my 2003 Ford Expedition (5.4L), the OEM code "P0357" -Ign Coil G Primary secondary Ckt shows on my code reader, any suggestions?

first before you waste any money buying a new cip (coil in plug) first just change the spark plug. its on the bottom of the cip. if its bad, i am willing to bet the rest are needing changed out. a royal pain in the **** to change. the easiest way is to unbolt you fuel rail and pop up the fuel injectors. this allows you room to get your sockets in and around the spark plugs (especially the back 2 on each side nearest the firewall. a good 4 to 6 hour job. take your time its really not that hard but time consuming.

Plug wires to distributor rotor

Hello Macstff ;

1985 jaguar xj6 4.2 L Series 3
Firing Order 1-5-3-6-2-4
# 1 Spark plug at the last cylinder next to the firewall .
# 6 Spark plug at the front of th Engine nearest the fan .

The Rotation of the Rotor within the distributor cap is " Counter Clockwise

The Vacuun Advance Diaghram ( metal ) is more in line with the # 3 Spark plug wire .

Looking from the top near the Passenger side fender . If we know that the Number 3 Plug is more inline with the vacuum advance then moving " clockwise the next plug would be the # 5 and after that would be the # 1 plug

This shold get you on your way providing that nothing else has been tampered with . I hope that this has been helpful to you .

Causes for no spark on 94 jeep cherokee please

Well it could be many things, But have you relpaced the dist. cap and rotor, within the last 15,000 miles or wires and plugs??? next step is the coil ? then it gets fun. like timing. but I think most jeeps with a Inline 6 have a bullet proof engine for the most part. As we all know there is plenty of semi's on the road. well the same set up is there. as an Inline Jeep. I would have to say 90% of semi's on the road are inline 6 cyl. engines. and may of them go to 1million miles.
so plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ignition coil. that is a good starting point.
