Question about 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

1 Answer

2004 Chev Malibu right side turn lights are out. Both front and back. I went to pepboys to buy a new fuse, but the guy there told me it might be the turn signal box. We couldn't find which fuse goes to the turn signals. Or the turn signal box.

Find fuse box for 2008 chevy malibu

Like most newer cars, your Malibu has two fuse boxes. One is under the hood, just outboard from the battery. [really lousy place to put electrical stuff, right next to a container full of acid. Be sure to keep the outside of your battery clean, or you will be buying a new fuse box/wiring harness in the future] The second fuse box is located in the trunk, just above the driver's side wheel well [left rear wheel well]

2004 chev malibu wont start

Does it have a security system? If so, see if the security light is flashing in the on position. If so, leave it in the on position for about 10 minutes and the light will go off. Then it will start. Once this problem starts it will happen again in the future.

Trailer lights

This is the tow vehicle end. The brown wire ( #6 terminal) is the one to concentrate on. It must have a bad connection either in plug at bumper or wherever mounted, or follow it back toward front of vehicle, and will likely have a connector just behind bumper area, or up near frame as well. Best thing is to use a test light ($5-$10) and probe toward front until you get power showing, then work back to plug to isolate. Begin by checking terminal at plug with blinker on, if no flashing of test light, find brown wire on back of plug & test there, and keep going toward front of truck, especially concentrate on connection areas. Understand? If not, get back to me538a5b8.gif

I have this same problem. I was told that it's caused by a short in the hazard light switch. A temporary solution is to just turn the switch on, then off again, otherwise you may need to take it to a shop or dealer.
