It sound like the fuel sending unit in the tank is bad....There are only three things that can cause that. 1. The fuel sending unit is bad.....2. The instrument cluster is bad( highly doubtful)....3. A wiring problem( even less likely unless someone has been drilling holes in the floorboard or splicing wires together.

Can't put in gas except a trickle

Some pump nozzles are a bit touchy and will sense any splash back from the gas tank. What really helps... only put the pump nozzle half way into the tank. It has more to do with the gas hose at the pump than with your car. Good luck.

My 2002 grand prix gt gas gauge doesnt always read properly, when i fill it up reads right, but always says full rare times while driving it will read correct, and after driving i put in park, and let idle...

replace the gas tank unit. 99 percent of the problems of this type require the tank unit to be replaced. it is a flaw with the GM cars, that GM refuses to have a recall on.

Yesterday my 1998 pontiac sunfire ran out of gas, am i going to need to do anything besides add more gas to get it running again?

shouldn't have to....just put gas in it...and please don't run no additives in your engine/tank...your engine is not designed to burn the additives that are available on the after market...
