How to change throwout bearing o 1953 ford N tractor. thanks, roger

Roger, you just have to do what I would do. Look at the job to do. Grab the tools you think you need to do it. Have a couple of jacks ready. Check to see if you can get the part or have to rebuild it or modify one. It is 6 years older than me. You may want to check on the clutch and pressure plate also.

Why 1953 wyllis stiff steering

check the bearings in the top and bottom of the ball that the front axle stub turns on. Check the steering box bearings and adjustment. check the bush under the steering wheel in the column. Check the steering shocky for free operation ( shaft not bent). check the wheel alignment because if the springs have sagged then the castor setting will be too far negative .

I changed my alternator on my 95 neon now their is a high pitch squell coming from the belt area i tried losening the belt it didnt work, what could this be

Can be a host of things, mainly pulley bearings. The most common is the binder pulley. Having worked for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep i can tell you that it's one of the main problems for all dodges, not just neons. If the pulleys are fine, maybe the belt is too loose and slips on the pullleys causing the noise. Also, it could be the new alternator itself being defective. I've seen plenty of alternators coming new straight out of the box and having busted bearings, or the internals hitting each other or the casing, preventing the alternator to spin freely. Other than that, it would be best to have the car checked out by a mechanic.

I have lgp on my 1953 chevy it has been park up

Unhook the rubber hose running to the fuel tank, then:

1. Thread a slide hammer into the key slot and pop out the lock mechanism.

or

2. Using an air driven drill, drill out the cap with a nice step-drill bit.

or

3. Call a locksmith.
