Sometimes won't start when all indications are normal Turns over ok - leave for a while ok - 1st thing in the morning ok - suspect an immobilliser problem with the fuel pump - however when it does go it runs for ever - scared to switch off

My 2004 Altima stops running like it is out of fuel after 20-25 minutes of driving. After it sits for about 30 minutes it starts right up but stalls again after 20-25 minutes.

What year is the vehicle? When does this happen, the no start. And when it won't start, it turns over ok? What grade of gasoline are you using? What type of spark plugs are in the vehicle? Now when it does noe start how long do you have to wait till it starts? Does it every stop working when you are driving down the road? If you could answer these questions I'll try to steer you towards the problem.

I have a 95 honda civic ex,wont start.ran fine yesterday,wont start this morning.battery is fully charged,new cap and rotor.would do u think might b my problem

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

My Toyota 09 Corolla petrol, was just serviced a few weeks agow, it starts ok in morning but if I have to stop and switch off engine it is hard to restart?

First, it is a diesel I am not so sure. As for a gasoline engine, there are 3 important things to look at: air, fuel, and spark. I would look at the fuel and spark, fuel filter, sparks.

Just won't start! fuel pump ok, filter ok, psi ok, turns over just won.t start

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, or a list of other things.
Even the fuel pump.
If this is a vortec V6 it takes at least 60psi to cover the injectors.

We recently changed the ecu on our vectra 1.8ls 2002 it started and ran fine for 10mins then then stopped,i think the immobilliseron all the time, how can i take immobilliser off

easy way is to join the immobiliser wires they work like a toggle switch otherwise replace distributor just be sure not to connect the imob wires to distributor. worth tracing wires to distributor should be one wire in and one coming out of distributort to immobiliser (not to coil or battery) cut and join them immobiliser is off then. Make sure you leave enough wire in case its not the problem so you can just wire back to normal.

2004 chrysler pacific will start sometimes but sometimes won't

I would suspect the fuel pump is the problem, it may be sticking at times and this causes a no start. The pump is located inside the fuel tank and it is electric.

Honda Accord 1994 V4 LX: Starting problems in the morning

There could be a few things causing this. When the car finally starts, is there any smoke coming out the exhaust pipe? White smoke would mean your headgasket is leaking and is letting coolant into the engine, then it is burned along with the fuel. Does the car run hot? Meaning has it ever overheated? Back to the smoke, if its black, your oil is getting in and is burning.

Now, the reason why it would be hard for a car to start, could be, a leaking headgasket, flooding the car while the car is sitting.

And yes, the car would be able to crank, but just wont start, for a while...because it has to get rid of all that fluid that has leaked into the engine while sitting at night.

Another thing you could look at, is your fuel pump, is it supplying a sufficient amount of pressure? If it isnt, it will take a while for it to pressurize and deliver fuel into the engine. You can check the fuel pump yourself by renting a fuel pump pressure tool from stores like autozone, kragen and more.

Your gas cap on tightly?

Good luck with your problem.

2002 Chevrolet Suburban won't start

go to the back of the truck near the gas tank and listen for the pump to run while some one turns the key to the on position not Start but on. If you do not hear the pump it is probubly bad.
