My VW Polo 1.4 2002 model does not seem to idol properly at a stop street or a robot. The rev gauge drops below normal, however the vehicle does not switch off. The vehicle seems fine whilst driving however only has this problem whilst at a stop. Please help

Replace spark plugs or make sure it;s new .fuel filter is new . then adjust the distributor move until RPM is OK and engine stable . ( distributor with two bolts ) loose little and adjust

You need to check the cable the runs from the gas pedal to the engine, it might be rusty and need some drops of penetrating oil at the point it meets with the engine accelerator valve.
wow never heard of this before??1997 their is no fancy electrics on this vehicle ,would need to have a play to sort this one out ,must be something simple like a air flow meter ??Just havent a clue ,ask me about a MK4 zodiac or a morris minor
100% sure it shows one of your cylinder compression is weak, please do a compression test to isolate the problem and get the head/pistons checked . This is a known problem with VW/Skoda 1.2 3 cylinder mills..
Daughter's R reg VW Polo has heater probs, only just started, fan working fine and temp gauge works normally but only blows cold air. What do you think could be the prob ?
