vehicle: 2004 chevy silverado
problem: when i run the a/c, the drivers side vents work fine but the passenger side vents will not blow anything but HOT air. I did recently wire a couple of aftermarket horns but that was very simple and only required me to splice into a horn wire and run power directly from the battery and all went right into it's own relay.

-   Passenger vents blow hot air, drivers side blows cold air. sometimes blows no air at all. Takes forever in the winter to warm the truck to just get warm and the opposite during the summer,
What could possibly be the problem.
I had someone look at it last summer and he moved some things around in the door itself and it worked fine for about a week.
Please offer a solution I would like to have the problem permanently fixed.-   rlfam

-   I disconnected the battery and replaced the turn signal/flasher relay located on the back of the fuse panel located on the driver's side of the dash. The turn signals are fixed, but now the a/c blows hot heated air on the driver side vents while the passenger side a/c cools normally.-   jmc633

-   I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado and when the battery is disconnected/reconnected the dash vents don't work. This only lasts for a short period of time (a week or two) and I still have cold air that blows through the floor vents and the defrost vents. What is the solution to this problem?-   Guest

As long as you did not have to go into the dash to splice those wires, I would say that you have either a Tempreture door that is Broken, or the actuator that controls the passenger side temp. door is bad. Most likely cause will be the actuator, because they have a very high failure rate. The actuator is located is located on the very top of the a/c-heater box behind the radio and a/c control head. It will be rather hard to change because every thing fits so tight. But if you remove the radio and the A/c control head you should be able to find it. Let me know if you need further assistance.
